My boss recently nicknamed me Radar O'reilly after the character on MASH. I never watched MASH and want to know what he means. Any explanation on the character?

Radar was the company clerk, and got his nickname because of his excellent hearing. He knew everything that was going on, and could often predict what people wanted before they even asked.
He was also (personality-wise) a mousy little guy with glasses from Iowa.
