10 items or less Line?
Ok you work at the ten items or less line and someone comes up with a cart with eleven cans of the same soda, do you count it as 1 item of eleven??

I worked for a grocery store for over 10 years. Some customers are dumb. The 11 cans would count as 11 items. People just can not count.

I just let them through....one item really doesn't make a difference. I work at a grocery store and ours is either 1 to 8 or 1 to 16 (usually 1 to 16 because it's a little more busy and sometimes we have two separate express lanes). I usually just let people through even if they have a few items extra. If they have like more than five items extra than I usually tell them to go to another line unless it's not busy.

I smile and ring up eleven sodas and take their money and thank them and tell them to have a nice day
