what can i do i invited some one to do something with me and they will not reciprocate ?

i invited them to a party and now i heard they were invited to a party and can bring a guest and i thought it was only proper to invite some one to a party as a guest since i invited them to a party as a guest

You can't make them reciprocate. If they don't invite you, don't invite them as your guest at your next party.
