First of all, as a Democrat it does not surprise me that Obama is trying to include all of the players in the landscape in order to seek out solutions and compromise that would lead to lasting peace. If there is any truth that she has ties to Hamas it still does not support the notion that Obama has ties to terrorists. To suggest such a thing is ludicrous at this time when we need to get on with the business of getting this country's house back in order in the aftermath of George Bush. The one thing that really woke me up was the politics that was coming out of the Bush Inner Circle that smacked of Fascism with the corporate intrusion into our government as special interest moles. Rachel Madow did mention on one of her recent shows that Bush made numerous appointment that would last for 6 years. This scares me because its like having planted spies. It has already been cited that the Justice Dept that there are certain individuals are politicizing the justice dept in making sure that candidates are user friendly in order to maintain control. I personally feel that those individuals need to cited as traitors because there is not supposed to be any connection between the executive branch and the judicial branch period. This is part of our system of checks and balances. If these people do not see us as a nation of laws and not kingdoms then why are they still employed at those jobs. Correct me if I'm wrong but when you become a Federal Employee, don't you have to take an oath which is similar to the one the president takes when he is inaugurated?...Show more

Try not to be afraid, fear can overwhelm humans and "dumb down" our ability to think rationally. "Links to terrorists" and "radical" groups; I don't know what that really means. Does her group talk to Hamas, do they try to communicate in diplomatic endeavors? Do they funnel money to terrorists? If there was proof of the latter, I am sure that the federal prosecutors would have charges against them. Whether we like it or not, Hamas is in power in Palestine, they are the elected leaders there. Believe it or not they are in power in part because they do some good works for the people there. When you can only think of the world in an us and them frame of mind you are doomed to live and react rashly. As a country we are headed for more trouble if we refuse to understand that knowing someone or having associations is not grounds for automatically assuming the worst. Are you aware that the United States government had ties to Osama Bin Laden in the eighties? Osama bin Laden's half-brother sat on a corporate board with our President's father. The same person was an investor in Arbusto Oil. I do not believe this makes our President or his father evil people. People are people and there are associations everywhere.
