Can I F2 be hired by a foreign company?

I am on a F2 visa in the United States. Can I be hired by a comapny in my home country to do some work for them while I am in US? Is this legal in US?

As long as the company pays you money and as long as you do not earn any money in the U.S., you will be fine.

I guess is not legal but for sure ask the Department of immigration or the Department of Labor of the usa.
