Questions About Picking Duty Station ?

All right, im in a school now for OS (operations Specialist) in the Navy. My questions are, for one, what or how do I go about getting to pick my duty station instead of being assigned one, I know its possible, two, does anyone know where OS's usually get stationed or what the chances are that I will get a Ship as my first Command, I know these are weird questions to ask but Im just curious, and if anyone has any info on anything pertaining to OS please let me know.

100% chance you will get sea duty. almost zero shore duty available for first term OSs.

generally speaking you pick orders by class rank. so the better you do, the better your odds of getting something you want.
