Update: =] @ Eden... I agree with the album art thing. ^.^ I love the album art for Nightwish. I probably look at the pictures more than listen to the songs, even!
So often, in commercial music, the only thing even remotely creative about a newly released album is the imaginative title. The cover design and the title are made attractive in order to catch the attention of a potential purchaser, and this attractiveness is often achieved through creativity.
The actual music is almost always a complete regurgitation of worn-out ideas, melodies, chord progressions, instrumentations, etc. This lack of adventurousness is also for commercial reasons, as the buying public are very resistant to something that is actually, musically, new.
(To make up for this awfully boring repetition of musical ideas, however, the pop 'stars' regularly change their 'image', i.e. their clothing style, their haircut, etc. The public seem reasonably satisfied that commercial music is thus 'evolving', the word 'new' is often heard, so the strategies are seemingly effective! )
As a composer of contemporary art music, I wonder if the reversal of this nauseating idea might work.
On my cover, I have an overweight operatic diva, complete with ostentatious, gaudy jewellery, pompous facial expression, hair piled high, and hands clasped over voluminous breasts. Her mouth is aggressively, widely, opened...
My Album title is...

Inside is whatever I choose to record when I am making the recording.
[ There should be few worries about me being sued for misrepresentation, as the people likely to purchase this album are not the most discriminatory part of the market, surely?]

Haha GOOD question! Ive always found album art to be very interesting too, just like the titles. It annoys me how some albums look so boring actually, considering its very important for a band to have an awesome album cover ... lol
Id probably call it "Tears Of A Joker" and have like a Joker looking really sad on it, with smeared make-up... But then, maybe not, because then itd be a little too much like Heath Ledger. But, still the picture in my mind looks awesome!
