Once again it called the Hold them and F--k them policy, anything to get into our pockets...like we are not taxed to death already. If we got to keep some of them money the government takes from us to feed them, we would stimulate the economy with it...but, we are running scared because of how screwed up the I----s run this country, we are going to hoard our money with the little bit they left us to try to keep our cars and homes. We the people are not going to stimulate the economy with the bits of crumbs they leave us to try to live on...hell we can't even pay for medical insurance.
I feel that property tax is appropriate only when the revenue generated is used to pay for local services. I have no real problem paying property taxes that pay for the the services provided by my city (police, schools, roads, etc.). I disapprove of property taxes being paid into the state 'general fund' unless those taxes are for specific programs that return a specific benefit to the homeowner.
Here in my city if you don't pay property taxes the king - Oops I mean city takes your house / throws you out and sells it to someone else.....
Most of my property taxes goes to welfare and other parasites that don't want to work --- I don't mind paying taxes for schools and roads, police, trash collection but in reality 2/3rds of it goes to welfare in my county ---- I pay $3000 in property taxes on a 66 x 120 foot lot with a $30000 house on it in an average income working class neighborhood....
