Is a college application essay seen by anyone other than admissions reviewers?

I'm applying to a college and want to write a good essay about something a bit personal. Is there any chance of admissions essays ever being published or in any way made public? Thanks for your help!

i would avoid extreemly personal information. stick to a more complete overview. of your experiences, where have you been what you learned, and where do you want to go from here and why.
