Hello. My name is Jay and I am an 80's addict. The music might only be second to disco in terms of detractors, but I don't care. I love it. Mr. Mister, Duran Duran and Howard Jones all bring back the memories of concerts, car dates and the fun times of youth. What is one favorite song you have and why? Be sure to include your age.
I'm 39 now. One of mine is "Drive" by the Cars. Reminds me of my gorgeous first love.

OK, addict is a little strong of a word. Maybe it's all relative to the time one grows up, but I find it rare to really like a new song anymore. Thanks to you all for bring up some lost favorites.

I'm 27 (28 very soon!) and I love 80's music, thanks to my brother who is 10 years older than me and my parents. This might sound corny but one 80's song that is very special to me is Sailing by Christopher Cross. My father said it came on the radio when he was bringing me and my mom home from the hospital after I was born. He said it reminds him of that day every time he hears it. :-)
One of my favorites is Everytime You Go Away by Paul Young
I Can Dream About You - Dan Hartman Holding Back The Years - Simply Red Something About You - Level 42

No offense in direction of the 70's fanatics, however the 80's made issues exciting returned. We have been given new wave and punk precise touching directly to the comparable time. We have been given MTV and WOW they performed truthfully video clips. those early video clips made the songs and artists so memorable. i assume the wonderful thank you to describe is this. there grew to become into lots greater kind in selection throughout the time of the 80's fairly of having ten diverse bands throughout the time of the ninety's sound like Seven Mary 3.
I wasn't even born until the end of the 80s, but I still love all the music.
Everyone sees it as cheesy, but I really don't care, I like it. Queen is my favorite band and they rocked all the way through the 80s, and a bunch of other greats came around like GnR and Journey. Rock on.
