Do I need to keep zip files on my computer after extracting them?
I have a few zip files on my computer. I've already extracted the files from them. Can I delete the zip files, or do I need them for the extracted files to work?

If you're running low on disk space, you can delete your zip files. As long as the extracted files are running ok, you can delete them. Zip files are kept for security purposes (i.e. for back-up), but if you know where to get them again, might as well delete them. They'll just clog up your hard-drive.

To extract just one file out of it. Open the Zip by double clicking on it, Hightlight the one file by clicking once on it and at the top, selcet extract, It could be that that one file is just an icon file. There is another possibility. Sometimes items can be zipped into two different Zip files and it requires the second Zip for the entire item to be extracted but it should have told you this if that was the case. Good Luck

It depends on you. if you have already extracted the contents inside the zip file, they are not necessary anymore because the files needed are already outside.

If your using the file in the zip for temporary usage,it is advisable to keep it because it will save you disk space

well you can delete them but i prefer to keep them if they were important so the file may have some troubles and i may need its source again. and you don't need the zip files to make your file work.
it is your Choice.
