There are (unless I suffer from a heretofore undiagnosed condition) no holes in my heart. Where do you put a plug in a thing that has no holes?
Or, looking at it another way, there are holes in my heart; we just call them 'valves'. In which case, you had better hope God doesn't get into your heart, because you'd have an infarction.

Humans have evolved to be good at spotting patterns and meanings because it allows our brains to make intuitive decisions quickly. Analytical decisions would take too long for our brains to process. These are rules of thumb, if you like. Unfortunately this processing is too sensitive, and can easily spot patterns where there are none. For example, consider the clustering illusion, where people will pick out patterns and rules in a random sequence of numbers, where there none (some of you will probably hear others complaining that last night's lottery numbers weren't random, as they were all low numbers, or all high numbers). People also like to try and feel like everything happens for a reason, or that they personally can influence lots of things. There are evolutionary advantages to this mindset, but it can result in some striking behaviours. Think of the sportsman who always wears the same pair of socks when competing, the tribe who perform a rain dance to effect the weather, the man who believes that there will be less chance of rain if he opens his left curtain before the right every morning. Ironically, it is the same processing in the brain that allows us to reason incredibly quickly, but also to believe a lot of irrational things.
