So I read this article and that article and this guys has ABC belt and that guy had DEF belt, you know. Now I understand the whole dismal belt situation BUT was wondering if there is any one(belt) that is regarded as slightly more prestigious than another? I understand each is considered (semi)legit but is there any one of the belts that is slightly more coveted or not really?

WBA is actually number one. They have been around longer than the other 3 major belts and have more pull. Look at that crap they pulled with Valuev and Ruslan Chageav. They made two freakin champs in the same division. Only the WBA could get away with two titlists in the same division. Next would come the WBC. They came second and like the WBA the ranking system is a lot harder than the other two belts so you're fighting real competition. You really have to beat big names to get rankings from those two belts. Next comes the IBF and WBO. Every belt is better than the WBO and it is just considered crap despite being a major belt. To be undisputed champ you only need the other three belts, not the WBO. Next the WBO rankings are a joke. They are so eager to have a good champ that they put anyone with a mediocre record as their top ten guys. John Duddy hasn't fought anyone with a heart beat and is already ranked number 2 contender while the other belts barely have him near ten. The WBO comes last because you don't need it for anything and it is too easy to win. People sometimes criticize WBO champs for continually winning WBO belts as they go up in weight because they are fighting less quality competition than the other belts. If you look up WBO champs in every division you'll notice they are lesser fighters than the other 3.

Yes and that would be the WBC belt most of the popular boxers of the past and present have held that belt. The order would be
1.WBC
2.IBF
3.WBA
4.WBO (considered the european belt)
