don't douche it will make the smell worse as it messes up the ph of your vagina. And yes it is normal for it to smell a little bit, it is often described as a earthy smell if it gets really strong it could be and infection and you should get it checked but I'm sure you are fine its normal for it to smell a little bit.

Part of it has to do with the fact that in order to study illness, it used to be the case that male subjects were studied, and the results extrapolated onto female populations. This provided innaccurate and misleading information. Another thing: the shame of breast cancer has been lifted. I remember a time when the word 'breast' couldn't be uttered on-air, or published in a pop-culture magazine. The word 'pregnancy' too was censored; it had to be replaced with the more politically-correct 'expecting'. You weren't allowed to show a pregnant woman on televion: when Lucille Ball was pregnant with 'little Ricky' she could only be shot from the waist-up. Thankfully, attitudes have changed alot since those days, and we are making up for lost ground. Also: women have more 'plumbing' involving reproductive organs. More plumbing = more medical problems. edit Tera Yep, good point: because women have been ignored for so long they have out of necessity become especially adept at raising awareness and funds! edit: Baba Yes, but the the disparity in numbers is enormous: check the NIH's website for statistical info. Breast cancer in men is rare. In female patients menopause plays a role, as does genetics, maybe diet as well. In fact, the list of maybe's is endless.

It's normal don't worry it's because your nearing the end of your period and the brown stuff is just old blood and your body is getting rid of it yeah sometimes it will have fishy smell i do get that sometimes just wash down there more often when you have your period things should be fine :)

Good Luck x

The differing levels of iron in the blood you lose is usually the cause of any odour. Sometimes the exposure to air causes the smell. You could try changing sanitary products more often to prevent this but remember tampons are not really advisable for very light flow. If the smell is only slight it is not an issue, but consult a doctor if it is really nasty.

In reference to a previous answerer- NEVER douche. It is not good or healthy for the vagina

It depends what you mean by funny smell. What exactly does it smell like? It could be a bacterial infection. But again you have not gone into enough detail to try and answer.
