I signed a paper for work with a monthly base pay and they took it away?

I started a position at my job and was getting a set amount every month. My employer had me sign a paper with my my new base pay for my new position. I did that for 3 months , now they moved me back to just sales with commission only.I was pretty much forced to sign another paper to go back to sales or no job at all. I did nothing but work hard and I was never written up for anything. Can they take back my salary ? or do i still qualify for that salary since its in writing? hate to say it but they replaced me with a good looking girl for a lot less.should i consult a lawyer?

As stated you will need to consult a employment lawyer to review the document you signed, but I would highly doubt the company would had word the document in such a way of guaranteeing you a job, more likely it just outlined you pay rate, keeping you an a at will employee under state law, but never know until some one reviews the document

You might have a complaint claim with your states labor board. I would have said you were screwed since you signed the last contract accepting the sales job again but they demoted you then turned around and hired someone else for the same position. You might have a valid complaint.

It depends if the most recent contract you signed completely overrules the first one. You should definitely consult a lawyer, though.

Only way to tell would be to have a lawyer review the contracts you signed.
