I am confused on what i want to be when I grow up. Either a Psycholoist or a teacher?

Hmmmm, these were two careers I was confused about. I ended up choosing teaching for several reasons. Being a psychologist will definitely bring you a higher salary but keep in mind that it will also involve more schooling, You usually need your Doctorate in order to become a psychologist. To become a teacher, you need one year of teacher's college after you receive your Bachelor's. Being a psychologist will be more stressful and you will have a higher burnout rate than being a teacher. Teaching means helping people so you have to be a good communicator and actually like kids/teens or else the job will just eat you up. Also, teaching is a monotonous job so if you don't like routines, then it's not for you. Either way you choose, they are both well-respected routines however, teachers are underpaid for what they do. Take your time deciding and hope this helps! ANother tip for you is to keep your options open during high school by taking a variety of different types of courses (i.e. English, Science, Math)....Show more
