I've had the alternator and two batteries replaced ( the battery seems to get fried very quickly ).
Anyone have a clue as to what's wrong. This has been going on for months now and each time it goes into the shop.

I dont know what your problem is...
but i know the solution,
Buy another brand car, if you want luxury go for mercedes!

Can you tell us more about the symptoms?
Are you sure it's electrical? When it dies, will the engine still crank with the starter, but not restart?
Does it die slowly, or is it sudden?
What about the gas level in the tank?
Does it happen all the time? If not, what are the conditions and circumstances when it happens?
Any unusual noises when it dies, or at other times?
Has your mechanic read any of the stored trouble codes? If so, what do they indicate?
Have you tried a different mechanic? One who specializes in BMWs?
