Do you agree that Canadians were/are always underrated as compare to Americans?
e.g
Bret Hart was a better wrestler but Hogan was the biggest name, Chris Benoit was a better wrestler but The Rock was more popular, Chris Jericho is a better wrestler but John Cena is the most popular.

Favorite Answer

1. Agree.
2. Agree, the greatest pro wrestler of all time.
3. Disagree. Masa Saito, The Great Muta, and Jushin Liger (to name three) were better.
4. Agree (sort of). Had not both sides been pushing the envelop, Owen probably wouldn't have been doing those stunts. Probably.
5. Disagree. Mick Foley was better, in my opinion.
6. Agree.
7. Disagree. The "death" came many years later when Vince McMahon began running the territories out of business.
8. Disagree. Michaels has the talent and charisma to make this the most emotional match in history (after the Flair retirement match, of course) if he chooses to.

BQ: Disagree. Most fans recognize the talent and skills of the Canadians, especially those coming out of the Hart Dungeon. Vince McMahon decides who gets the push (i.e. the money it takes to advertise enough to make them stars, no matter their skill level).

1-. Kurt Angle is the best wrestler today.

I disagree i think Jericho is. Jericho might not be quite as good a wrestler but he is much better on the mic and it is about all round abilty to be the best so i say Jericho > Angle

2-. Ric Flair was the greatest of all the times (nice santino quote).

Agreed

3-. Antonio Inoki was the best Japanese wrestler ever.

Agreed

4-. The Great Owen Hart was a victim of Monday Night Wars.

Disagree i don't think the stunt had anything to do with the war, he
was a victim of Vince's flashy over the top attitute to wrestling.

5-. Eric Bischoff was the best general manager in RAW history.

Agreed

6-. Chris Jericho deserve a better opponent then Mickey Rourke.

Disagree Chris Jericho has earned a high profile match at wrestlemania and if he isn't in the title picture then he should be the man to face Rourke, Jericho will lose but he will be cost the match by someone setting up a feud for summer.

7-. Hulk hogan defeating Iron Sheik was the death of Pro wrestling.

Disagree Pro Wrestling died the moment Vince took over the company, what Vince sees wrestling as is why wrestling died if it hadn't been Hogan it would have been someone else.

8-. Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 25 will never be as charismatic as Hulk Hogan vs Ultimate Warrior match at Wrestlemania 6?

I have no idea, depends on build up but it has the possiblity of being better. Time will tell

Yes i believe so, it's an american company based in america so most causal fans will like american's over any one from somewhere else but if you asked us die harders who is better we would say the Canadians. The reason it is that way is mostly to do with the causal fans and they make up more % of fans than die hards.

1. Disagree - Sure he is a good wrestler, but I'm going to say Rey Mysterio is a better wrestler. He's got the speed, the flash, and the moves. Unless you mean actual wrestler, then Angle is.

2. Disagree - The greatest wrestler of all time is a difficult one. However, I'm going to give it to his old partner Arn Anderson. He was just a force to be reckoned with. Not as many titles, but an incredible wrestler.

3. Agree

4. Disagree - He was not as big of a victim as Bret Hart.

5. Agree

6. Agree

7. Disagree - The Montreal Screwjob was the death of Pro Wrestling. It showed how fake it can be and it made "The Excellence of Execution" go to WCW. Although, it could really be any battle royal with Monty Brown as the death. He usually throws himself over and gets mad at the guy 5 feet away.

8. Disagree - The only thing that made Hogan v. Warrior charismatic was the Ultimate Warriors steroid induced spaz. Running out to the ring and grabbing the ropes, "raising the roof", and what not. I think that Taker v. HBK would have more meaning since they are the two with the most Wrestlemanias under their belt.

BQ:
- No. I don't think Canadians have been underrated. In my opinion I feel that the Luchadors in the US are more underrated. That was until Rey Mysterio beat "The Giant" in WCW and was dubbed the "Giant Killer". There was a Canadian Championship in the WWF between Aug. 1985 to Jan. 1986. Held by Canadian Dino Bravo.

Agree - Bryan Danielson is a close 2nd from what I've seen
Disagree - Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, and Bret Hart are better in my opinion...Flair is an extremely amazing wrestler but these three were technically stronger in my view
Disagree - Jushin Liger is better
Agree - Sadly yes, he could have been among the best of all time if it wasn't for using him for a stunt in order to draw another rating
Agree - Played a great heel and great mic skills, he was a good on - screen character, maybe not the best behind the scenes from what I see with WCW
Agree - Jericho is a top star and one of the greatest heels in the current company. He should be in the main event but if Stone Cold were to return for one last match, although I don't want to see Jericho job, this would be Stone Cold's best opponent for storyline, history, and trust.
Disagree - Vince McMahon both spread and killed wrestling at the same time. He did away with traditional wrestling in exchange for making it mainstream.
Disagree - Hogan vs Ultimate Warrior is overrated. I would take Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels any day.

BQ: Yes. Canadians seem to be among the best wrestlers in the American wrestling world. Both Benoit and Hart are arguably among the best wrestlers of all time and Jericho is probably in the top 5 best wrestlers in the WWE and almost definitely in the top 10 of mic skills of all time. Edit: Not to mention Edge being among the best heels of all time and Christian's great technical ability and mic skills.
