My friend needs to solve a system of equations for homework. I am unable to recall how to show the work to get to the answer. The work is the most important thing. First person to provide the correct solution with work receives 10 points. 

3/X + 4/Y = 5/2
6/X - 1/Y = 1/2

Using either Eq.1 or 2, find Y. I'll use Eq.2
6/X-1/Y=1/2
6/6-1/Y=1/2
-1/Y= 1/2-1
-1/y=-1/2
Y=2
