I have Brood War, however my friend does not. We're going to be playing online, and I've been searching for some maps. I found a lot, but there's an important question I have before I start downloading...
Are brood war maps and original maps interchangeable? Meaning that if we're both playing SC original, are there some maps we can't play?

most are. If by the icon it says BW... then no. all the ladder maps would work

You cannot play a broodwar map on original SC.
Broodwar maps are indicated by .scx and Original ones are .scm.
But you can get broodwar for free nowadays so it's not a big deal.
I posted it in the source. However this Broodwar will not have single player mode. (It's only 100mb!!) You can still play online for free via ICCUP or on Battle.Net if you have a legit key. Of course network play works perfectly fine.
