What is the best Horde Class to make a rogue (Racials and overall)?

At higher levels, there really isn't a dominant race for rogues, but here's the lowdown:

Blood Elf and Trolls begin with the highest agility of all races. As your main stat, this is useful. At higher levels, gear will negate any real impact this has.

For PvE and raids, orcs gain a decent, short-lived damage boost (increase in attack power) every 2 minutes. Trolls have a similar short-lived damage boost (increase in attack speed) every 3 minutes. Trolls also regenerate health quicker, leading to slightly less down-times.

For PvP, Forsaken get the immensely useful Will of the Forsaken to break Fear, Sleep, or Charm effects every 2 minutes. Blood Elves can build up Arcane Torrent to release a Silence effect and gain 15 energy (every 2 minutes). Blood Elves also get a -2% to be hit by spells.


All in all, your skills and, of course, gear will best determine how things go, but for that extra edge, it depends on whether you'll be PvP focused. If so, Blood Elf or Undead are good picks for those racial abilities....Show more

Either a troll or BE rogue would be the best, because a a UD's racial gives heals you over time when using cannibalism. The BE's racial skill, Arcane Torrent is best in PvP or PvE when against spellcasters because it will stop casting for 2-3 seconds. Im not sure about troll's racial though, I think it does something with attack power or attack speed....Show more

It is forsaken (undead). That is the overall agreed upon majority result whenever this debate arises on the forums.

I chose blood elf for arcane torrent. A free 15 energy (and a silence) every 2 minutes makes a different PVP and PVE.
