Will they demonstrate in support of those dead police officers?

2009 started on a sad note...when a transit police officer accidentally shot and killed an unarmed man near Oakland California. The officer was white and the victim was black. Excuse me, African-American. After this terrible tradgedy, the African-American community demonstrated in force about the brutality of the mostly white police force.

Now, in an adjoining community, 3 police officers have been shot dead, and 1 very seriously wounded. It would appear...appear...that the officers are all white. And, the perpetrator of this crime is....African-American. 3, possibly 4, lives cut short.

Will those same people that demonstrated against police brutality be out on the streets in anger over what a previously convicted felon did to those officers that were protecting the community?

Your thoughts please.

Idk,
but this whole happening about the 5 officers shot is absolutely HORRIBLE! I know some hate police, but police are still people, they are trying to protect you, they have families and children to go home to.. What happened was so horrible and my condolences go out to the families of ALL victims, I'm thankful my dad wasn't working yesterday, he is an OPD officer.

No, most people of Oakland truly are scum. Did you hear that as the officers were dying these trasholes taunted them? Expect tensions to rise in Oakland only this time it will be the police who are angry. I would not want to be a criminal in Oakland right now.

i know nothing about the second event but the first incident involving the transit police was recorded and i saw the gun accidentally fall out of his holster and into his hand where unaware to the officer it pointed itself at the person lying face down on the ground and discharged itself, terrible tragedy for the officer involved.

Two totally different incidents that will most likely have different outcomes.
The guy that shot the cops is going to jail for life, no ifs ands, or buts.
The cop that shot the unarmed civilian will probably get away with it, with no punishment.
The double standard before the law is what causes the outrage, so you can be pretty sure that those who demonstrate in support of slain civilians don't feel the same about slain cops.
