Sunshine Plaza has several shops selling Japanese animation figures. It's located along Bencoolen Street, next to Prinsep Link.

This blog lists some of the figurine stores there. If you're up to it, maybe you can visit their websites and call them up before going down? http://hihi123.wordpress.com/2007/07/07/singapore-figuringmodel-shop-review-beta-01-edition/

I'd recommend going down around 11:30 a.m. or noon time. While there, pick up some muffins (Delicious Muffins) or have some dim sum (Victor's Kitchen) on the ground floor.

Comics Connection has been mentioned a couple of times, but I wouldn't recommend that as they have a much smaller selection than the shops in Sunshine Plaza.

there is a chain called "Comic Connection" available at most of the suburban shopping malls.

or there's a big one on 2nd floor of Bugis Junction (across from Kinokuniya bookstore) I don;t know the name of the store, but ask the shopper where Kinokuniya bookstore is at Bugis Junction, then you will see the store.
