Are your glasses supposed to lay flat when opened or is there usually a leg in the air?
I just wanted to check because i just purchased glasses from eyemasters and when the salesman laid them on the counter, one leg was in the air a little. I asked him if they were supposed to lay flat, and he replied that no since they lay differently on the two ears. The only problem to me was that he had not done any adjusting to my ears.
I listened to him and took them home, and noticed they sit on my face crooked.
So my question is, have you noticed if your glasses lay flat when opened, or is there usually a leg in the air?

They are supposed to lay flat. They are crooked otherwise. Especially if they dont fit on your face properly. Some ppl do need them like that, but if they dont fit you then take them back in But they can fix them easily
When you first try on the glasses they should lay flat. That way you know the frame is straight. Now it is not uncommon for one temple to sit a little higher off the table AFTER they have been adjusted to fit you. Some people have one ear higher than the other and the only way to make the glasses sit straight is to lift one temple up. Now since your glasses are sitting crooked on your face, you temples probably should be even on the table. I would take the glasses back and have someone else adjust them to fit you properly.
My ears are crooked and one of my legs is up in the air. That is totally not important. What is important is that they are straight on your face and if they are not, you go back to the store and you have them adjust them until YOU think they are straight. It doesn't matter what the people tell you. It is your face and you have to look at them everyday. Get them adjusted, it should be free. I argue with my glasses people all the time but I leave happy =)
No they should lay flat, unless your ears a slightly crooked, but the doctor would've had to make the adjustments. Sounds like he was too lazy to take care of them. I'd go back and complain!
