Dog vomiting twice after eating?

My dog has been the type to stop eating when he is done with his food, and he doesn't really scarf his food down, He eats twice a day, and I've been switching his food over for a while now. switching from proplan puppy to innova evo. I have been giving him 1/3 of the proplan and 3/4 of the evo for about 2 weeks now since I still have a lot of the puppy left over i wanted to use it all up. Any who, Just yesterday her started to throw up his food. It wasn't a regurgitation, it was certainly vomit. You could hear him making noises all the way upstairs. When i went to clean it up it was partially digested food and partially undigested food. BTW, puppy is 10 months old and hasn't had any bones or rawhides in at least 2 months. And even back then it was only like 1 a month.  Bowel movements seem to be normal. He's only done this twice, breakfast today and dinner last night. Each time he's done it it has been at least an hour after he has eaten. Last night it was much longer than an hour. Maybe like 3 or 4 hours after he had eaten. He seems to be acting fine, there has been no change in his behavior to make me think he is ill other than the vomiting. And I'm not entirely sure what he could have gotten into as we have just moved and our stuff has yet to arrive at our new home. Thank you for your help. I just went through the same problem with my little guy. I had him on pro plan while he was a puppy and then I wanted to switch him over to a different food to give it a try. I did the gradual switch and still after two months he is still throwing up. Kind of a coincidence I just got off the phone with my vet this morning and he told me to try and gradually put him back on Pro Plan for sensitive stomachs. He told me that some dogs take to a particular food and if they do well on it I should keep them on it. My husband's family has been using proplan for years and they swear by it. Some foods I have found just aren't good for dogs with sensitive stomachs! Good Luck

It's likely she's got some gastroenteritis, which will pass in time, just like when we get a little sick from bad food. But there are always those rare complications that could have occurred. Could she have eaten a pork bone too? Or something else in the garbage that could cause an obstruction? A bloated stomach or abdomen is concerning - if this persists through the night she should be seen as soon as possible.

It could be as simple as constipation or stomach upset or as serious as an intestinal blockage. As long as he's having bowel movements and wanting to eat, it's safe to just keep an eye on him, but for now it's a good idea to not feed him big meals. I'd feed very small meals with a little canned pumpkin in case it is constipation and watch what happens. If he keeps vomiting or stops having bowel movements or loses his appetite, then you need to take him to the vet immediately.
