How many of you actually believe that Mexican drug violence is caused by our gun freedoms in the US?

I just want to ask how many of you actually believe that drug cartels that can buy RPG's, automatic Rifles, Heavy machine guns, and grenades directly from Africa and China feel the need to go the US and get our more expensive and semi-automatic rifles?

I'm not trying to get into a political shouting match, but I'm curious how many of you actually believe it.

I just see the Attourney General and Sen. Clinton making these claims. I know this is just an excuse to retrict the rights of Americans, but I was wondering if anyone else bought the garbage.

Quite honestly, I've never even heard of that argument before now.

Kinda silly argument.

The most commonly used weapon in the world is not even American.

I don't believe that guns are the "cause" of any violence. Guns, by the very nature of their design can only end violence. You could twist the wording all you want but in the end the fact is that guns are used to kill, and as a result more often than not, one or more people who are already violent are KILLED, reducing the number of violent people. I know, I know, some are going to make the outraged statement that innocent lives are taken with guns, and again I will be forced to point out the truth to them, and that is that violent people did the killing, and the gun or lack thereof would not change that. Would you rather be hacked apart, slowly and piece by piece, stomped to death by an angry mob? Do you prefer to be beaten for perhaps an hour till dead or stabbed 70-100 times till you bleed out in a puddle of your own blood and urine and feces in a dark alley? No folks, guns do not kill, and when they are used to kill, they are overwhelmingly used by violent people to kill other violent people. This is particularly true in the illegal drug trade, and in gang violence. The gun-control idiots need to learn two things. One, the right to keep and bear arms is just that, a right, MY right, and you have no right to deprive me of that, though you can decline to excercise the right yourself. Two, it is always foolish to disarm a free people, ALWAYS!!! It only serves to open the way for dictators, despots, and the destruction of free nations everywhere.

I imagine that US weapons are only "more expensive" if they're bought legitmately. If they're stolen or sold via the black market then they're likely the cheaper option.

But as your question specifically states "is drug violence *casused* by our gun freedoms in the US" then the answer is probably no. The violence is a result of the drug trade - the source of the guns has little to do with it.

definite,of route they are. you would imagine Prohibition would have taught us some thing.yet lots of the Anti-Drug zealotry replaced into initially all started via non secular Zealots, who're no longer universal for making use of fact of their decision making procedure.yet they are nicely universal for wondering their Bible supplies them an inherant suitable to regulate the habit of honestly everyone else. The economic expenses of the Drug warfare, and one yet another moral campaign are outstanding.with any success we are able to finally figure that out and factors up dropping time, funds and factors attempting to be the morality police. THe Drug warfare,or each of the "Vice Depts" around the country are in truth attempting to change "morality",some thing it truly is fairly no longer the agency of authorities.Their pastime is to provide up authentic crime, and they could't even do this effectively anymore, because of such issues because the Drug warfare. Wouldn't it be the various drug distributors fighting over turf? Weapons like the AK-47 are manufactured in over 20 countries and sold in many more. The US is hardly the largest supplier of assault weapons.
