How can I stop Yahoo! Answers from repeatedly sending me the same email?

I've gotten over 13 notices saying I had the same answer chosen as the best, I get them every hour and have since midnight. Is there a way I can tell Yahoo to cut it out?

This is a current glitch with Yahoo! Answers.

many users at the moment are receiving lots duplicate Best Answer notifications for just a few best answers

I remember we experienced this glitch about 8 months ago on the site, and by the time it was fixed i had received around 60 best answers, but have been give around 720 emails regarding them!

I notice some users suggesting that you change your settings for when Yahoo! Emails you, but this is only possible for:

-Emails telling you that you have a new answer to your question
-Emails telling you that one of your contacts has asked a new question
-Email telling you someone has become your fan on Yahoo! Answers

As we do not have the Option to opt out from receiving Best Answer notifications, its not a cycle that we can break. (Yahoo! Know about the problem, and will hopefully sort it out soon)

Sorry to break this to you but Yahoo is traditionally kind of slow about fixing it's glitches. They'll get around to it when they feel like it or stumble across the solution. I'm not too impressed with their techs' ability to solve this and it's happening to LOTS of us so it's really annoying. Worse yet, there is no way for us to opt out of getting those "best answer" notices!! You can't just change your preferences like you can when you decide not to be notified that people answered your question or your contacts asked questions. We're all just stuck with the junk emails. It's Yahoo Answer's latest glitch. (They get so many here, it's pitiful.) It's been happening to me since Friday night. I had maybe 20 messages then, had well over 100 yesterday and even as I was deleting them I kept getting more. They're still coming in... But that's Yahoo for you, they are always having some sort of glitch or other. Welcome to yaHELL. Yahoo doesn't seem to be able to hire competent help or prevent these glitches so I guess we just have to tolerate it until they fix it. YaHELL indeed.

I got a boatload today, too. They keep coming.
YA is working on it.
A post I saw suggested changing the setting on your email account, setting YA as spam or junk for now, until they get it sorted out.
This would prevent clutter in your inbox, but you would still be able to sort through your junk box or deleted files if you wanted.
Hopefully it's fixed soon!

I have the exact same problem. But I think Jake P's answer is satisfactory.

The facial expression on your avatar is perfect!

Just throwing that out there.
