Yes, there is a Tower of Terror at Disneyland. It is at the California Adventure. You will love it! Is this your first time to Disneyland? If so be sure to ride the following: At California Adventure: Soarn' Over California (The Best Ride) FP Mulholland Madness Mailboomer Toy Story Mania California Screaming FP Grizzly River Run Drawn To The Magic
Disneyland: Pirates of The Caribbean Haunted Mansion Space Mountain FP Splash Mountain FP Matterhorn Mr. Toads Wild Ride Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage Alice In Wonderland Mad Tea Cups Small World Flying Dumbos
Homey I Shrunk the Kids 3D Indiania Jones Adventure Electric Parade Fireworks over the Castle
One thing not to miss: Fantasmic-The absolute best laser/3D/Holographic Show with Sorcerer Mickey & Friends lasts about 25 minutes...you will love this!
Closed for refurbishment: Sun Wheel King Tritons Carousel
*FP - get fast passes whenever possible, lines get very long at times.
Sneakers are a must! You will be doing alot of walking and will need the support of a good pair of sneakers. Flip flops, water shoes and sandals are good to have on hand for the pools & water attractions. ( If you decide to wear flip flops around the parks, slide them off when you get on Soar'n or they will fly off). You don't say how long you will be there but you will want to be comfortable. Capri pants, light weight sweat pants and shorts work best. Also bring a polar fleece jacket, the nights are still cool. Sunscreen and a hat are also a must.
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is located in Disney's California Adventure Park which is one of the two main parks in Disneyland. The other is plain Disneyland Park which is a kid oriented theme park. Wear shoes that won't fall off (like sneakers) and comfortable to walk in (like sneakers). If you don't, you'll have sore feet and you'll be annoyed with taking your flip flops off on rides.
Sneakers, just because you will be spending more time than you can imagine waiting in line. As for the Tower of Terror, it is in the California's Adventure, not within Disneyland itself.
I have been to disney practically every year since I have been born....my family used to make trips to disney world from chicago...I would say that in terms of the amount of things to do, disney world is a lot bigger and does include four different parks each with their own sets of rides , but if you are looking for the original disney experience , disneyland is a fun experience as well. Also, disney world has many hotels as well that offer fun things to do and even when you are not going to a theme park or anything like that, there are many other things to do like shop, play minigolf, boatrides, etc. Its more of a personal choice, but disney world does have many things to do. If you have dreamed of visiting disneyland, that's a great place to stay as well.
