How old do you have to be to work at Build a Bear Workshop?

I am going to be sixteen in may. I applied for a job to start working in June. I turned it in today. The manager looked through it and scheduled an interview for Monday.
I'm TOTALLY excited. :D
First job.
Firs interview.
I know i'll do great, but my friend texting me saying that she saw that you have to be sixteen years and 6 months old. Is that true? That seems kind of weird...

and talk about toal buzz kill. I'm kinda worried and sad now because i really want that job!

Hi Leah,
If the manager scheduled an interview with you then he/she must be interested in you. At your interview I would ask how old they expect their employee's to be. Although I am not sure, I would think that 16 would be okay but there are some employers who want older. Still, you have the interview! Dazzle the interviewer! Good luck.

I'm not sure for Build a Bear specifically, but most jobs will hire you at 16 but PREFER you be 18. Anyone under 18 has restrictions on how many hours they can work per shift as well as when they can begin or start work. . .or if they can use certain equipment.

So to answer your question, you CAN be 16 to work there . . .but I bet they prefer 18.

Well according to Wiki answers, you have to be 16, So You're pretty much (almost) in the clear zone.
Good Luck with your interview on Monday.

you have to be at least 18. it used to be that you had to be 16. they have changed it ;x

if you go to the website and apply for a position you will see that one of the questions says "are you 18 years of age or older"?

most kid stores require you to be 18.
