Some do,some don´t.There´s a lot of different accents, like in Spanish.It´s not the same an accent from Catalonia than an accent from Andalucia.The same happens with English.It´s not the same a Welsh accent than a Scottish accent or even an American accent.
If they feel bothered about it? Some might, some might not.The same happens in Spain.Some people laugh at other people´s accents, but if you think about it...which one is better or which one is worse?
In my British part of the family there´s a nice variation of accents.My husband is Welsh,my father-in-law Irish,they live in Scotland, so my brother-in-law´s got a Scottish accent as he has lived there almost all his life, and his girlfriend is from Newcastle, so another different accent again.Then obviously my Catalan accent speaking English,which they say it´s mixed with the Welsh accent hahahahahaha.
In conclusion: we understand eachother, and that´s the important thing,isn´t it?

I can only speak for myself. Most Brits are exposed to many varieties of English through TV, films and encounters with English speaking people from many corners of the world. Accents don't bother me and I can understand that when an Australian says he's going for a Barbie, he's not going to the toy shop to buy an outrageously proportioned doll. I also know that when a Nigerian in my office asks where he can 'ease himself', he means he needs to go to the lavatory.
I have sometimes been amazed that a person from the USA doesn't know what a lorry is, or says that you can't teach children the word 'café'. (I still don't know what the problem with this word is)....Show more

Not particularly; we are now used to it. Lo mismo me pasa con los diferentes acentos españoles. Aprendí el español en España pero estoy completamente acostumbrado a todos los acentos hispanohablantes, ya que mi nuera es peruana y, encima, me enfrento todos los días a gente de toda Latinoamérica....Show more
