What are some pros and cons of living in Scottsdale, AZ?
Do you think an environmental geologist and a high school history teacher could afford a 2BR 2BA house there?

I bet you could afford it but...
I HATE scottsdale,
cons: superficial, stuck-up. the whole deal w/ designer bags bleached blonde hair and fake boobs...HOWEVER, if you are looking for a more down to earth place that values culture and down-to-earthness about it, then go to old town scottsdale, much, much better. I have lived in scootsdale since '92 and am moving soon!

I moved from the bay area to Arizona for a pair of years and located leases 0.5 the cost. each little thing else grow to be extra value-effective. Like nutrition and centers and automobiles. i grow to be in Phoenix/Scottsdale. the experts are a extreme high quality airport, stable thrift shops, activity opportunities interior the large city, stable community college gadget, 2 stable universities, miles of nicely maintained highways without human beings, basically chapparrals, owls and large desolate tract panorama. The cons are a hundred tiers 0.5 the 300 and sixty 5 days, heat pool water, heat faucet water, AC on all evening, speedy drivers, Republicans. I dont understand the cities you reported yet I liked Carefree approximately 20 miles north of Scottsdale. i might say to you that Oregon is extra efficient for families and extra value-effective than San Diego. And no sales tax, that makes a large distinction. They get a honest volume of rain yet no longer rather warm. human beings in Southern Az flow to Rocky factor, Mexico to the coastline.

Right now, the prices in many areas of Scottsdale are very affordable and you are not looking for a McMansion. Great shopping and eating there, you certainly won'[t spend much on heating, won't need many winter clothes. Good luck

Scottsdale has high side and low side, depending on where you'd like to live. Housing prices are rock bottom...if you know your job is secure then no problem. It's hot....very hot there..your electric bill will be sky rock (air condition run almost all year long)
