Getting rid of old photographs?

I've decided to get rid of some old photographs and I just haven't quite decided if I should just tear them up and throw them away, burn them, or shred them. If you got rid of old photographs, what means of disposal did you use? I'm a little superstitious and don't want any bad vibes or whatever...

They are just old photos of friends from school--1980s junk and hardly "priceless" not even to me evidently!!! :*)

Personal photographs or Antique Photographs?

If they are personal then just shred them.

If they are antique photographs please do not destroy them. Post them on ebay or give them to a museum. Antique photographs are virtually priceless.
