Redwoods have roots that are interconnected with the trees surrounding them. Do you have a spiritual support?

system when life hits you like a mac truck? Who are they? (no need to give real names.....friends...family....teachers....etc....)

I have my family, my church family, my friends, my R/S friends. How about you?

The Redwoods roots being interconnected is just an example of our physical and spiritual connections to the people we have around us. I never said the roots were spiritual.

I Love trees and biology.

Yes i do have a network system in the Lord.

But even when I have felt like the world was against me, (which the god of it satan, is) and with the rejection i faced even from even Churches, way before this recession, as you know.

Jan, apart from some of the first true Christian friendships, were on line.
And the prayers of my online prayer group family and the love shown, was overwhelming, and saw me through some of the loneliest times of my life. (starting to get that tingly nose, with tears).

Then even when I didn't have a computer, on the road, checking in now and again to feel the love. As i didn't have a place to live, let alone a Church.

Now I have all, home again, Church family, and still my online prayer family, the ones who have stood the test of time. And my other darling online friends.

But in all of this, nothing compares to His infallible love, if you keep pressing into Him, the harder it gets, the stronger he shows you He is.

And with the support of my prayer family, and the relationship with God that He brought me too, - I was able to face Mac trucks head on.
Maybe shaken at first, but then flooded with His peace that surpasses all understanding* smile, and it does.

Thanks to all of you who prayed as well when not every prayer was taken off the board.

Bless all the APF folk and
Glory and Honor and Blessing and Praise be to the Lord God our Saviour.

EDIT: And you know how I almost went to prison for being framed by the Policeman?
Well I'm free as a bird now, (Eagle most likely ..smile) as from last week!
Wow that like a Mac Truck smacking you clean in the face, even after I called (same as) 911 for help.
We do have to pray for the police.
God is so Good.

Standing, sitting or laying in the aura of trees will allow the trees to reveal to us their strength, resilience, patience and deliberatness. I have witnessed many a tree to completely defeat a bulldozer and most earth moving machines, their roots extend for much further than most folks think, giving them the strength of the Earth, yet in a strong wind they can bend to accomodate the changing forces that also attempt to move them. They tend to outlast us ALL in terms of stubborn existence and can show us the patience of surviving against repeated onslaughts. Even though wood is softer than rock, a tree can, over time, actually split even the largest of boulders with its roots. Trees have all this and so much more to show us if we'd only take the time to listen, watch, and learn from them. BB, Raji the Green Witch

Good analogy Jan my sister.
We all need a good support system or we will fall sooner or later. I am fortunate to have several different "intertwined roots" starting with my wife and children, my ministry brothers and sisters, my home church, the flock God has entrusted me with, my online family and friends, the mission that I teach at, and above all the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

oh yes, the people who have no one they can call a true friend, indeed, can fall into despair very easily! We just aren't meant to be alone. I don't see how anyone can "do it alone" in this world. We were made for socialization.

I thank God for my family, my fellow church brothers and sisters in Christ- who are just like family to me. I could NOT have made it without them.
