Exploring new religions?

I consider going out on a hunt in search of a religion in which I feel comfrotble with. I was brought up in a LCMS church but I don't really know anymore if this is a prefect fit for me. So what I would like to ask is if you guys have any suggestion in what I should look for when I began my hunt. Something like a little checklisit. I already started my research and finding myself drawn towards judaism. Thanks

Even though it may seem silly at first, the Belief-O-Matic™ quiz at Beliefnet.com will help match your beliefs to the major religious and philosophical traditions.

Also, try a Unitarian Universalist congregation, which draws from many of these traditions.

Good luck on your spiritual journey.

This presumes of course that a "nice comfortable religion" is where it's at, or corresponds to reality...

What if "the real thing" is far from comfortable?
Which would you pick: a comfortable illusion or "that which is"?

Bottom line checklist:
Is it true?

Ask God to show you the answer. I dont think God is actually into religion. I think He wants a relationship with you. Just my opinion.

You could look at the Lord's Prayer and ask yourself which religion actually understands what Jesus told us to pray for. Let Gods name be sanctified. For Gods will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven. etc.

It's Jehovah's Witnesses. Email me if you want literature to use in your research.
