Anybody taking the AP European Exam?

How are you reviewing and how do you feel about your command of the material? If you've already taken it, any profound insights?
Remember T minus 7 days until the exam...

I was in your position last year so hopefully I can give you some tips on how to approach these next couple of days. Hopefully you've had a good teacher whose taught you everything you need to go. You should be familiar with certain terms and general ideas (Renaissance, WWI, WWII, Cold War are bound to be on the test). Also, you should have some things memorized because you're going to need facts for your FRQs. Don't make the mistake of cramming everything with only 2 days remaining. Another thing I recommend is taking practice test so that you can identify your weaknesses. Since there is a week remaining, review a certain topic one day for I'd say 2 hours but don't review all European history over a 24 hour period. Do it slow and in intervals so you're brain can process things you might have forgotten. Since the test is on Friday, on Thursday try to minimize your workload and try to relax. If you really want to study, do it for an hour only or else you are not going to remember and it will end up being a useless waste of time

Regarding other things, be on a good mood on the day of the test. I can't tell you how many people were cranky and pissy because they tried to cram and didn't sufficient sleep. Think happy thoughts! Sounds corny, but it works. If you end up being hugely stressed out and worried, put away everything and get out a piece of paper and a pencil. Then just start writing things you know. Jot down notes, facts, people and ideas. Try to connect people and ideas if you can. Soon enough, you'll see that you do know a lot and you're confidence starts to boost up. Remember this was a marathon, not a sprint so if you've been doing what you're supposed to do, you should be fine. GOOD LUCK!

I took the AP European History my junior year of high school, and scored a 5. It wasn't as difficult as the AP U.S. exam, and the FRQ questions were relatively broad.

I would suggest, if you have the time, reading through the summaries that accompany a AP exam study guide (in book form, try the Princeton Review or Barron's version). As I recall, it helped to go over the broad trends I had learned, because it helped with writing the essays and with remembering the specifics.

Time management with the essays is key-- and I suggest writing down ideas for all the essays you have to write before beginning the first, as you may not remember all the information you initially think of after you've written the first essay. Bring a watch to keep track of time, they won't let you use cell-phones.

i took ap exams for 4 concerns in extreme college and that i presumed ap euro wasn't that undesirable? you're basically a sophomore. What i decide directly to propose via way of it rather is you have possibly taken much less historic previous practise than seniors taking the attempt. So, so as which you will get a 4 or 5 you would be able to desire to possibly learn up. that's going to be an excellent sort of examining, yet i might say do no longer sweat it too plenty; you have have been given 2 better years?

basically im scared out of my mind right now i got a high 2 on the practice exam and i need a four. so basically im gonna study my azz off after the sat 2 tomorrow and take a couple days off of school during the week also. I feel good on my material from the renaissance to french revolution, but basically suck at the rest after that. good luck! If you want a high score and feel alright with the material, learn how to DBQ well cause that is a lot of your composite score. Thats what screwed me up on the practice exam.

I got a 4 on it my sophomore year, there's not much insight that I can give. Just eat a healthy breakfast, host a few review sessions, relax, and be confident that your entire year in class hasn't been a complete waste of time lol. Most people stress out and it doesn't usually have a positive impact anyways.
