my Action replay DS stopped working any suggestions on how to fix it?

All of the codes for every single game it had on it got deleted and it wont accept new game Id's Or codes i try to enter a code and it freezes and the touch screen went got red and green horizontal stripes on I cant change the settings so that it saves all new codes and it wont download new codes

the same thing happened to my friend it cant be fixed he sold it at a game shop for a few dollars some game shops will see if it works but some wont.
