When a member of the Yahoo Answers staff answers one of your questions?
do you feel compelled to block them? Do you wonder why their answers and questions are private? Do you wonder if anyone reports their answers & questions?

I think that compares to getting audited. I'd lose them.

Everyone gets excited when an "Official" profile asks a question. And it happens to not be *any* Official -- it's the person who is supposedly THE Yahoo! Answers guy! (Or gal whatever lol) They get so many answers because they're also featured on the front page of Y!A -- everytime someone logs into Y!A, they're automatically taken to the front page and if they're paying attention to that cream colored box, the Yamster's question pops up. It gets more attention being on the front page, more people are able to view it, so more people are willing to answer it. You're right -- if the average Joe were to ask this question, it would have died an hour (at the most) after having been posted. But being on the front page, being an "Official" profile, having so many stars (thus Contacts of people who starred it are also shown the question)... all adds up to hundreds of answers and hundreds of stars! Is it fair? Eh, not really. But so what, it's only Y!A lol
?
I have never had a staff member (chuckles) answer my questions, but I did get an e-mail from one.
It said: 'There are people reporting your questions for no good reason. Don't worry I will take care of that.'
I was in shock. Now that I remember it, I am in shock again.

Yes, I would.
A long time ago, a staff member answered my Q in the Y!A category about my reporter troll complaints.
Just for shnitz & giggles, I summoned about 15 of my best contacts to report their answer.

If it was the staff...and you reported it...it would just go right back to them and nothing would happen...or they would get a VN, appeal it and win the appeal.
The Q&A are private because they don't want us to see their complete body of work and bear witness to the windowlickers running this site.
