I don't think bacon is the worst thing a dog can eat. After all, they are carnivores. If your dog starts to act differently then I would call the vet or take him in just to be on the safe side. It could be a matter of how much bacon he ate. Try securing your food better if you can. If that dog would have gotten into the chocolate...definatley not a good thing. Also, most people don't know this, but never ever feed your dog grapes. Grapes contain unknown toxins that can shut down a dog's respiratory system. and effect the way their body functions. There are also some yahoo groups for raw feeders where you can get more information. Since I started feeding my dogs a raw diet they have improved. They are happier, healthier, and have more energy. You need to give it some time. Sometimes dogs will itch more at first after switching because they are going through detox. Dogs who are not fed a raw diet correctly can become very ill.
