How do you say this in french?

how do you say "I make friends"? My teacher told me but I can't remember now or find my notes.. Don't translate it on a translator because it's incorrect. Using faire isn't the right way.. but I can't remember how. thanks :)

it can't be fais because it means to literally make something. i.e. Je fais le pizza. I actually make pizza. I don't make my friends like out of clay or anything....

Hi,

Have you thinking about what you have written?

English is using the same word to say "make friends" and "make pizza" this doesn't bother you to use the same word in your every day language.

Why should it bother you when it is another language?

We say "se faire des amis", be aware that "se" is really important, or the sentence doesn't make sense.

So you have to say : "je me fais des amis" or "je me suis fait des amis".

Emmanuel

the only way i know is with faire which means to do or make
i could be wrong but it would be
je fais amis
or
je fais des amis

i'm only in 9th grade french....

edit: ok i see what you mean, i still think you can use faire for that though, i'm sure your teacher will understand, unless you want to rephrase it or if there's another verb you can use instead of make

Why it can't be?

Je me fais des amis , is the way we say it.
