there's a game called plant tycoon, i believe. but you just plant flowers & you can cross breed them & what not. + it goes with real time. i've been looking too & so far that's the only one i've seen that's at least some what similar....Show more

I think the whole idea of playing Farm Town on Facebook is about socializing. As you and your friends play the game, you could compare notes and help each other in harvesting, which is why you get more out of your crops if you hire someone to harvest for you instead of doing it yourself.
To play on PC could mean that you are playing alone or with computer-generated neighbours. The idea would be a bit different. BTW, I think Facebook Farmtown is only a beta version, the game will eventually hit the market.
