I haven't heard about them in a long time. The front page of their website is still up, however almost none of the links work, especially the registration page.

I am so sorry to hear about your acquaintance's situation. It is cruel and simply deplorable that someone should be made to suffer so. No one should die because they are adopted. It is discriminatory and sadly sometimes deadly when adoptees are denied access to lifesaving information. This is why I firmly believe in open records.
