I have an old Internal Western Digital Enhanced IDE Hard Drive with 80GB of storage. I'm looking to use it as an external HDD by putting it into a docking station but I can't find one. It's 3.5in and it uses an IDE cable? I'm not sure what kind of cable it uses but I know it's not SATA.

If you have a Maplins store near you they wil stock all you need. You can also find them online.
It does turn it into an external hard drive. It is a good way to do it because if the hard drive goes you can replace it. If you buy an external hard drive you can't always easily open it up once the drive breaks. It is a cost effective way to go.
Hi. Newegg has many external enclosures and usually converts IDE to USB. http://www.newegg.com/store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=92&Tpk=external%20hard%20drive%20enclousure
