Recently I purchased an Acer Aspire One laptop with Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition.?

The laptop came with one of those secure digital 8 GB cards. There were also two cd's. On one of the cd's it says that the software on the DVD was preinstalled on hard drive and may only be used for backup and recovery. The other is called a system cd. I just recently took an interest in computers. Could someone explain the purpose of these cd's and how to use them if I ever have to? I'm not really computer literate.Any answers would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

the software is for if or when you have to crash your computer due to any unfortunate misshapes

that hard drive is Pretty much your computer its just if you have to reinstall your windows or pre installed programs
