my boyfriend of a little over 3 months txt his ex lady from about a year ago "i miss you... still" and she wrote back "ill be home soon, i miss you too babe" what the heck am i so posed to think about this? he said he doesn't know why he said it and is willing to fight for me for me to trust him. but how the heck can i be so sure he doesn't miss her?

Yeah, this behaviour is quite questionable.
I personally wouldn't wanna be with a guy who wasn't 100% my guy.
And it sounds like he may have lingering feelings for his ex.
But talk to each other and ask him to be completely honest.

If he says he is willing to fight for you to believe him, let him do so. But I think he might have been bored when texting her. It sometimes happen between exes.
