Honestly, Is this drawing any good?

So this is my first Charcoal drawing and I'm not sure if it's awful or not...Can you tell me what you think of it?

Hmm. It's not awful, not at all. I don't think it's great, but for a first try it's relatively good. The draftsmanship is the strong point in the piece I think, but you made it look very cartoon-like, which is a shame.

Degas-influenced I bet. :P

But keep it up, practice makes perfect.

Honestly, it's not something I'd pay money to see on display. If it's a school project, that's wonderful. But if you're looking for a professional critique, the body is disproportioned and the lighting/shading is unrealistic (it's hard to tell where the light is coming from). The feet are cartoon-like and the spine is bent at a jagged angle.

It is not awful at all, it is pretty good. Of course there's always room for improvement, so think that if this is your first and it's okay, then you can do even better later on! If you like drawing, keep practising!:)

I think it's good for a beginner.
A little tip: Go and look at pictures of people in different poses and postures... and of course practice drawing a lot.
The arms and legs of your figure could be a little more in proportion, but I think overall it looks fine.
