Is anyone else irritated with some of the questions...?

Is anyone else irritated with some of the questions that show up in the pets section?? What kind of irresponsible, ignorant pet owners out there take the time to go onto yahoo answers and ask things like,
1. My dog hasn't moved for three days. Should I be concerned?
2. My cat's eye is falling out of the socket.. what should I do?
3. I think my puppy's leg is broken.. what should I do?
4. My cat has been vomiting blood for several days and hasn't eaten anything since.. what do I do?
5. My dog got hit by a car and his intestines are hanging out but he is still alive... WHAT SHOULD I DO??

For god sakes, for those kinds of questions, pick up the phone and call the vet... If you aren't sure wether it is a problem or not, ask the VET as soon as the problem arises. It doesn't cost a thing to make a phone call, and could ultimately save your pet from needless suffering.

It pains me to think people are dumb and careless enough to come on here and wait for answers to their questions while potentially putting their animal's life in jeopardy rather than calling their vet.

Am I being too harsh, or do other people think that a lot of these people shouldn't even HAVE pets if they can't take care of their pets' basic needs?

What is even more scary is the thought that a lot of these people have kids.... or will. lol
stupid people are breeding at an astronomical rate!

Some people are really ridiculous and totally lacking in common sense. Stay away from the Pregnancy category of Yahoo Answers. Stupidity runs rampant there, too.

I used to volunteer at a shelter and it was the same story there. People surrendering their animals because they got too big, they chewed, they had fleas, they shed, they won't stay off the furniture, etc. Some people just refuse to use their brain and take responsibility!

Yes! Those questions literally infuriate me. All the time spent typing & reading answers could be used picking up the phone to call the vet.

Blood coming from where it should be = bad.
I thought that was obvious, apparently I am quite wrong. That's why whenever I correct those people & tell them to go to the vet or express any dislike for these types of questions I get the big thumbs down!

Sorry if you don't like to hear it but if your dog is vomiting up blood or their bones are poking out of it's skin or it hasn't had a bowel movement in 3 days it has to go to the vet & your wasting time on the internet.

I would agree although until I read this question I didn't think I did care, but on reflection I do get annoyed, I tend to put something different each time just so as not to be consistant.....but I think your way is better................. I think we are all conditioned to fill in information about ourself when we have little idea where it is going and what it is planned to be used for, but there is a whole raft of people employed to organise and imput our information into government and company databases............ As side issue I realised in the last few days how much information is collected about me on the computer as I have put Ghostery on ( download from FireFox) and with each click it tells me which organisation/group/ internet collector is tracking me, collecting all information form any website I type anything into...which I can now block and stop any further info going to them...and just while clicking onto different categories on YA you would be amazed at how many click up ( which are now blocked)

No, your not being too harsh. Some people on here that post those are trolls, but the constant ones about breeding their dogs, dogs being sick and limping ones etc drive me batty. Go to the VET! Don't breed if you aren't qualified too! So simple. At least you'd think it was. No one seems to do their research anymore on anything. So frustrating.

That and the people who are too stubborn to listen to good advice and insist they are right, drive me nuts. Why come here and ask a question if you don't want to listen to the answer? Makes no sense lol

Some of the extreme ones you've listed are just trolls who should just be ignored.

With some of the less obvious ones (my dog has stopped eating, my dog vomited his breakfast, my cat is limping etc.) - people are either cheap and don't want a vet bill or want they just want assurance that they are not overreacting. Sometimes you can tell by the way they ask the question.
