Will my USB memory work after accidentaly washed or is it ruined?

It was in shirt pocket and it went through whole washing cycle with detergent but no bleach or softener.

I have done this before, and mine still works. BUT... do NOT use it for several days. It needs to be 100% completely dry before you try to use it, or you will probably damage it and possibly your USB port on your computer too.

Mine also went through the drying cycle, so I think yours will be ok. Just make sure it's dry.

Well, only one way to find out. Plug it in and see. I've had one go through the wash and dry, and it still works fine. Get the excess water out of it and try it out to see. It might work still.

Depends on how waterproof it is. Plug it into the computer but be ready to pull it out if it starts smoking or something. It's SSD technology so it's made to be tough.

You'll have to plug it in and see. I've washed several flash drives and they still worked.

Give it plenty of time to dry out, a day or so at least.

Then try it out. It'll work or it won't.
