Easy use a non scratch cleaner that can be bought and a sponge with an abrasion and a little elbow grease, will do the trick.
Not a brillo pad, it will scratch the glass top.

If you wipe off the burnt spill with a wet sponge after the burner is off straight away, the burn will come off like a breeze.

Any liquid cleaners work just as well.

This was a big mystery to me too until I found out the secret is a single edge razor blade. It doesn't scratch and gets up all those nasty things that spoil the shine. It works perfectly and if you don't have a straight razor around the house, try using a plastic card like a credit card or supermarket card. Just scratch it over the marks and you will see the nastys come up! It also works on enamel. It does not mar the surface. Please try this, It defiinitely works. Polishing it off with a microfibre cloth also gives a deeper and cleaner shine than paper towel.
