What do you think about the US roster for the upcoming gold cup?

im surprised it was released already considering the US is still in competition
but here it is, a mix between our B and C team. and two players (ching and cherundolo) recovering from injury:
GOALKEEPERS (3): Jon Busch, Troy Perkins, Luis Robles
DEFENDERS (7): Steve Cherundolo, Jimmy Conrad, Clarence Goodson, Jay Heaps, Chad Marshall, Michael Parkhurst, Heath Pearce
MIDFIELDERS (8): Davy Arnaud, Kyle Beckerman, Colin Clark, Sam Cronin, Brad Evans, Stuart Holden, Logan Pause, Robbie Rogers
FORWARDS (5): Freddy Adu, Brian Ching, Kenny Cooper, Charlie Davies, Santino Quaranta

my opinion: our defense looks real good. we finally get to see adu and cooper!!!! our midfield looks like our least experienced position.

Bradley could have put together a better squad. I understand what he is doing and I kind of agree with it. But he should have added more of the young guys. Like: Altidore, Edu, Kljestan, Torres, Wynne and maybe even Chris Pontius.

I don't see Kyle Beckerman, Colin Clark, Brad Evans, Santino Quaranta ever being the kind of players that Bradley or USA for that matter will ever call for the World Cup.

Should have just called the younger guys so they could get more International experience and build their chemistry a little.

I like it because they are trying different thing, giving the young guys an guys that i thought deserved some time in the past a chance.
I think that the GK is a lil week i mean Brad Guzan would defantley be a better option but i understand that these guys have not a break in a long time an that they deserve some rest to get ready for the upcoming season.

PS gotta love our attacking option,Ching an Davies sounds good. An we may see Adu play i am loving this.

I wish we would have brought in jermain jones

yeah.that is a b/c squad.but it still has some interesting talent.
a lot of these players would never get a chance to show what they have if not for this tournament being right after the confeds cup.

that said.I'm sure many euro scouts will be watching to see what new talents are coming out the U.S.
it's a great opportunity for many players.

I personally think that these players have a lot of potential and could possibly have a lot of success in the elite leagues (EPL,La Liga,Bundesliga,Dutch eredivisie etc.)

kenny cooper
charlie davies
colin clark
sam cronin
brad evans
clarence goodson (he needs to bulk up)
luis robles

players like freddy adu can also improve their situation by playing and gaining confidence.

we have a good team.I'm happy about that but I think it's time to focus on becoming a constant producer of talent.for that we need to be able to test our up and coming b/c squad players.

I think our gold cup squad has a good chance of taking the tournament.

GK: horrible...where's Tim Howard, Brad Guzan, Marcus Hahnemann?
D: horrible...where's Gooch, Bocanegra, Hejduk?
MF: horrible...where's Bradley, Kljestan, Clint Dempsey (if you want to include him there)?
F: the best out of the positions but still pretty bad...where's Jozy?

I realize that most of our top-tier guys are coming back from Confed Cup play, but national pride is at stake. Jeez, with Bob Bradley it's always like one step forward, two steps back. I will be surprised if the US even makes the finals with this team. It's like Copa America all over again.

I think it's alright. I mean like we don't have anything to lose here. Good to work with our B and C squad and prepare them and see if they can help us out in the WC qualifiers and possibly the World Cup.
