Changed fuel pump, fuel filter, air filter, plugs, coils, and cleaned the MAF sensor. .
It idles fine even when I move the linkage under the hood I get no response or if I do it's delayed.

Does it crank? If it idles, you need to check the basics. Check your throttle linkage -- manually open the throttle body at the linkage connection near the intake manifold in the engine bay. Your 'RPMS" go up as a result of how much air is allowed into the engine.. which is controlled by how wide your Throttle Body is opened.
